The Bluemont Fair is a country fair, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and has been around for over 50 years. The fair is volunteer-run and brings together thousands of crafters, artisans, musicians, and more from around the region to provide a weekend to explore the regional history, taste new foods, shop, play, and participate in activities. For the past few years, they had been seeing a decrease in attendees.
The fair makes its revenue from admission. Attendance was in a steady, two-year decline.
Our team built a strategy to increase awareness regarding the Bluemont Fair. We focused on messaging to educate the community about its historical significance. We created new content for the website, a complete social media campaign, a digital advertising campaign, and optimized the website for a better user experience.
The following two years saw increases in attendance and revenues generated by the fair. One of the years, they even experienced rain! The 2020 fair was unfortunately canceled due to Covid.
